As many of you know, being an engineer is a lot of fun, especially in the tech space. My journey as a computer engineer has been quite an adventure. It all started at the University of Texas at Dallas, where I did my Master’s in computer science. Those were the days of experimenting with AJAX and Web 2.0 APIs. I remember creating a few blog widgets and even selling them while in school.
Later, working with American Airlines on their flight scheduling software taught me a lot about responsibility and precision. It was a high-stakes role with plenty of duties, ensuring the software was reliable since people’s lives depended on it!
Seven years later, I returned to India and kicked off my own company, Dimensions. We began as a small team of five, brimming with innovative ideas. Most of these were experimental, with a high risk of failure, but we were determined to try them out. We initially operated as a services organization to secure cash flow, creating mobile and web applications for clients worldwide. Gradually, we dipped our toes into tech-driven marketing. This led me to the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where I did a program tailored for entrepreneurs. It was a transformative experience that helped me drive our company’s operations, marketing, and finance.
